The personal statement is a crucial part of the application process and a unique opportunity to tell your story. I am excited to offer high-quality services at reasonable rates to fit your individual needs and timelines.
Initial Consultation
New students are welcome to start with a free 10-minute phone consultation. I’d love to take this time to learn about you and what you’re looking for, discuss expectations, and answer any questions.
Single session
Perfect if: You're looking for a focused session to move your personal statement forward.
How this works: I will tailor this session to best fit your needs. If you’re early on in the writing process, we can discuss strategies to draw out stories from your experiences, potential topics for essays, and techniques to bring your voice into a personal and meaningful essay. If you have an outline, we can discuss your ideas and brainstorm how to create a focused, cohesive, and well-organized essay. If you have a rough draft, I can review your writing and provide quick feedback.
Wherever you are in the process, we'll make sure you have a clear idea of how to move forward.
50-minute session: $75
One round of electronic feedback
Perfect if: You have a draft, and you’re looking for electronic feedback without meeting for a session.
How this works: You’ll email me a draft, and I will use Track Changes and comments in GoogleDocs/Word to provide feedback on areas including communicating a clear and compelling story, organizing and structuring your essay, answering all aspects of the prompt, and using each word strategically within a target word count. I also polish for grammar, spelling, and other mechanics. Turnaround time is one week, typically sooner.
Under 500 words: $55
500-750 words: $75
750-1000 words: $95
24-hour turnaround: +$80
48-hour turnaround: +$50
For rates beyond 1000 words or multiple essays, please reach out.
One round of electronic feedback + 30 min session

Perfect if: You have a draft, and you’d like electronic comments along with a session to discuss feedback, clarify questions, and plan next steps.
How this works: You’ll email me your draft one week prior to our session. I will use Track Changes and comments in GoogleDocs/Word to provide feedback on areas including communicating a clear and compelling story, organizing and structuring your essay, answering all aspects of the prompt, and using each word strategically within a target word count. I also polish for grammar, spelling, and other mechanics. Turnaround time is one week, typically sooner. We’ll spend our 30-minute session reviewing this feedback.
